What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. We’re proud of where we’ve been and even more excited for what’s to come.

Synchronicity is committed to producing high-quality theatre and training events that are entertaining, affordable and accessible.

In 2014, Geoff and Wendy Collishaw established Synchronicity Performing Arts Inc. in Bendigo, a vibrant city known for its rich cultural heritage. This initiative was born out of a desire to create a non-professional theatre company that places a strong emphasis on quality, community involvement, and inclusivity.

The company specialises in producing smaller cast comedies & dramas, with a particular focus on regularly showcasing original and Australian works. By doing so, Synchronicity provides a platform for local playwrights, helping to promote their voices and stories within the community and beyond.

Synchronicity is lead by Executive leaders, Geoff and Wendy Collishaw, and an oversight committee of Russ and Angela Holdaway and Emily Dodson

Participants in Synchronicity's productions come from diverse professional backgrounds, including sectors such as health, education and administration. Despite their full-time commitments, these individuals are united by their shared passion for theatre, dedicating their time and talents to bring high-quality productions to life.

Synchronicity chooses a training focus each season and invites an experienced, proficient expert in that field to lead classes. Season 13 the focus will be on playwriting

Financially we are funded by ticket sales, the occasional grant, generous sponsors (thank you Heathcote wine makers!) and the generosity of company founders, the Collishaws. If you would like to support the growth of this amazing company, please see our sponsorship opportunities page, or our membership options.
